Manhattan Project

The Manhattan Project was a secret project that produced the first American Atomic Bombs during World War II. It was led by the United States of America with the support of the United Kingdom and Canada.


Howard Stark, who worked on the Manhattan Project, stated his desire to name Project Rebirth the "Brooklyn Project" to tell Robert Oppenheimer and his crew in Los Alamos that they had competition.

By 1947, the Particle Accelerator used by the Manhattan Project was in Tennessee.
